Hi i'm Kate, i've been to Knightsbridge cafe more than 20 timesand i can not remember any time that i had problems in there. The food was always great , the coffees mmmmm... amazing and the service was really good. There is a good place to spend time alone (so you can have a chat with the nice staff) or with your friends and families for a good coffee great food. Thanks to all the staff who always looked after me.

Prior to a concert, I called in for a coffee and bite to eat, there was not much choice, admittedly at 5.30 but then they ARE open late.My coffee was "very average" and the choc croissant passable, no more than that.A friend also attending the concert happened to arrive at the cafe and joined my table. Hers was a separate order and from the few available cakes she chose a coffee ???clair (nothing special for the price although a token drizzle of white chocolate was put on the plate to try to justify the almost ???3 which it cost!).This ???clair was very dry and crunchy, almost biscuit-like and needed a knife and fork to tackle it!The staff were not very evident and not having eaten much all day, she suffered eating about two-thirds.When we managed to attract a waiter, she complained at the quality and price, but the staff (including the so-called manager) we not prepared to make any gesture of good-will and she had to pay full price for inferior, overpriced food and unhelpful service.Add to this, they put both our charges on one bill, even though I had arrived and ordered considerably earlier and was clearly independent of the later order. The staff were quite hostile and did not even accept that we needed separate bills - all in all a totally miserable experience which neither I nor any friends will repeat. Also the staff reaction was so slow and dismissive that we almost missed the appointed time to meet up with my husband.(At one point we asked to see the proprietor, but were told that he lived in Cyprus!)MOST DEFINITELY NOT RECOMMENDED!

Just to say few word about the knightsbridge cafe: great place to stop byand have a break from heavy shopping bags, have a nice coffee if you are in a rush and have a toasted tomato and cheese sandwich as well..my favorite. Full enlish breakfast, nicoise salad, ceasar chicken salad, home made ravioli with riccota, tomato soup..mmm...mmm,chocolate milk shake, peach ice tea, flavered vanilla late, fruit tart..mmm...plain croissant with gam and butter, raisan danish...mmm...the staff are great and helpful - the meals are always fresh and soup of day is always different and hot.
